This pom.xml works perfectly on my side. Including the SQL Server access. Very weird.

Which maven version are you using? NetBeans comes with an embedded 3.0 SNAPSHOT.
Currently Maven 2.2 is supported - which you can check in NetBeans at Tools/Options/Miscelaneous/Maven.

If you do not run 2.2 please follow the instructions at our "Developer-Guide", section "Maven".
Just to exclude that this is the issue.

Another suggestion is that you download our latest v0.11 alpha Source Package from the Nightly Build Section.

I'm confident that we'll get it

Alex

Another question: Do you run it on a local device or on a shared one, you sent screen shots from a NetWork drive, logs from a D:\ToBackup\Dev\jWebSocket\jWebSocketFullSources-0.10 drive, just to ensure that there#s no path mixup anywhere, BTW: you do NOT need to adjust the CLASSPATH! So please remove potential references from there.

Embeded 3.0 version, no path in External Maven home.

i will d-l the sources and restart fresh.

what i do with my Class path? do i still have to point to the JDBC jar? (anyway i test it with and without)

i have latest version of NetBeans also.

i test with latest sources and i come back.

Do i have to import the project and redo you JDBC procedure? (probably yes)

David,

the cumbersome adjustment of the pom.xml is necessary because Microsoft does not support Maven repositories (at least not that I would know of). So yes, unfortunately this work needs to be done manually in your case. Of course, we'll try to find an easier way to support MS SQL Server and bind it dynamically to the system. With MySQL e.g. is totally simple - it's just a simple dependency.

I would recommed to start with Maven 2.2 before you remove everything. Just to isolate the issue.
Again, and forget thge classpath setting.

Hi David,

I'm sorry that you experience problems in your environment - the packages are complete. Did you delve into our online-documentation already?
Anyway, since we are about to QA our v0.11 we will run additional basic "from scratch" tests and document that for you in even more detail.

v0.11 is supposed to be released on Nov 17th. Meanwhile I recommend to introduce yourself into NetBeans and it's features as well as for Maven, maybe you first start with a more simple Java Project. If you like I can send you some helpful links beside the documentation we already provide. On this forum we need to focus on jWebSocket and unfortunately cannot comprehensively support fundamental Java development and third party issues, although we really like to do our best. I will create a dedicated NetBeans project for you which you can simply open to compile, but it will take a couple of days. Thanks so far for your patience.

Alex

wow, guess what, with new sources it is working finally ....

First it was not working, and i notice that in th RTE lib folder the SQL jar was not there, and it was there with old source, i copy it there and i got the login failed error

with correct credentials it is working ...

ouff....

if i want to deploy this RTE to a server do i have to install something Except JRE ?

(JDK, Maven, else ...) ?

Thanks again, without you i didnt make it! i was at 2 min to give UP ... lol

thanks

Hi David,

nice to know that at the end it worked

For us it was a perfect opportunity to understand which obstacles can appear with certain use cases.
Now we know how to use SQL Server in jWebSocket and other developers will benefit from that as well.
Good case!

Best Regards
Alex

BTW: JRE 1.6 is sufficient for your RTE, Maven is required for development only.
